Lisa Doolittle

Lisa Doolittle, an award-winning scholar, international educator, dance theatre artist and documentary film maker, has presented and published internationally on community-engaged and intercultural performance, Canadian dance and multiculturalism, and indigenous dance. She has led numerous participatory theatre and dance projects with Caribbean elders in South London UK, with rural middle school students in Malawi, with Blackfoot high school students and refugees and immigrants in Alberta. Doolittle’s expertise in arts-based pedagogy has brought effective arts-based learning into post-secondary Sociology, Management and Health Sciences classrooms, and her research on these performance and teaching projects appears in interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journals and in dance and performance studies anthologies. Lisa Doolittle is Professor in Theatre Arts at the University of Lethbridge.
